If I have a park reservation for Magic Kingdom and enter, then hop to another park after 2PM, and then decide to go back to MK that evening, but MK closes due to capacity, can I still enter MK since I have the park reservation? Trying to make July 4 plans.

Welcome to planDisney, Daren, where we salute all nations, but as Sam Eagle would say, mostly America. Well, at least on the Fourth of July! Walt Disney World Resort will be exploding with patriotic fun then, and I hope you've chosen a festive red, white, and blue ensemble to wear. The holiday will undoubtedly be a popular time to visit, so let's make sure we run every situation up the flagpole!

I chatted with a Yankee Doodle Cast Member who explained that a Theme Park Reservation guarantees your entrance to that park no matter what time of day you scan in for the first time. Theoretically, you could arrive at 7:00 PM and scan in for the first time, even if the park is at capacity. However, once you use the Park Hopper Option to hop to a different park, you lose your guarantee of re-entry. So, to answer your specific question, you will not be able to re-enter Magic Kingdom Park if it reaches capacity after you hop to a different park.

Daren, I think Magic Kingdom Park will have so many exciting ways to celebrate our country's birthday you won't want to leave! There is typically a special patriotic fireworks spectacular in honor of July 4, so watch the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about any special celebrations and offerings. Stay hydrated, and bring lots of sunscreen!

I salute you for asking this great question, Daren! I hope your upcoming visit is full of fireworks, parades, and Mickey Mouse. It doesn't get any more American than that! Please feel free to come back to planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
