If I have a park reservation for Disneyland, and I leave and come back and DL has now hit capacity while I was out of the park, am I guaranteed reentry because I have the reso? Or is that reso only good for my first scan in the morning?

    Hiya Melissa!

Thanks for stopping by and a warm welcome to planDisney! We're so happy that you brought your question here to us. Do you have a visit to the Disneyland Resort coming up? It's a fantastic year to visit because there's so much happening and you won't want to miss out on anything!

As you already know, a ticket and park reservation are required for entry into either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure. If you were to leave the Parks to Park Hop or return later that day, you are not guaranteed re-entry as it is always subject to park capacity. However, the good news is that this is an extremely rare occurrence and if you have a Park Hopper, you could always visit the alternate Park. Plus, there's plenty to see at the Downtown Disney District while waiting for your Park to open again.

If you are planning on visiting the Happiest Place on Earth this year, be sure to take in the decorations and special foods they're offering for the Disney100 Celebration! Mickey's Toontown is set to re-open very soon and the new attraction Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway has quickly become one of my favorites. Like I said, there's a lot to see and do at the Disneyland Resort this year!

I hope I was able to answer your question, Melissa, and that you get a chance to visit!

    See Ya Real Soon!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
