I perused the
December calendar for
Disney California Adventure Park and saw that the park will close at 9:00 PM on the 6th. That's an hour earlier than most nights that week, and I see the Special Event runs from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM. The mystery deepens!
So I reached out to a sleuth of a Cast Member who deduced that there was a private event scheduled that evening. If I had to offer my best hypothesis, I'd guess it's a party hosted by a local company. But that's pure speculation, Dustin!
If you plan to visit the theme park on December 6, my best tip is to get there early and enjoy a full day. You're bound to have a holly-jolly time.
I have some good news to share! My detective's nose led me to check showtimes for
World of Color - Season Of Light that week. This holiday show typically starts at 9:00 PM, but on December 6, there's an earlier start time of 8:45 PM to accommodate guests who aren't attending the private event. I saw this festive show last year, and it gave me goosebumps!
