Hi Joni,
How exciting that you're already looking forward to a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort next April! With the
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival and some exciting
new experiences coming in the next few months, April is a GREAT time to visit!
Disney releases park hours, including
Extra Magic Hours and even parade and fireworks show times around 180 days in advance. The ability to book
dining reservations opens up 180 days in advance, too, and if you're staying at a
Disney Resort hotel, you'll be able to make dining reservations for the entire length of your stay, up to 10 days. If you'd like to try to plan your itinerary before that window opens, it can be a bit tricky since all of the park hours aren't published yet. I'd recommend checking out touringplans.com where they list park hours 190 days in advance instead and estimate them even further out than that. I can't guarantee their accuracy prior to the time that Disney posts official hours, but it can be a great place to start. I'd encourage you to go ahead and make all of your dining reservations when your window opens, then keep an eye on the
official park hours and make any changes if need be as they're released.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Joni, and please come back and see us again with any other questions you may have as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation next
spring!
