Hey there, Mallory! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your questions about the virtual queue system.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is scheduled to open on October 1, 2021, with a virtual queue system. This system is the same one that was being used until recently for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
In order to obtain a spot in the virtual queue for Remy, you will need to have a
park pass reservation for EPCOT. You are correct in your statement that park hopping currently begins at 2pm, so someone planning to hop to EPCOT would not be eligible to try for a spot in the virtual queue at 1pm. This is actually good news, since it helps to allow more EPCOT guests to try for a spot. Should the virtual queue not fill up, the system will allow park hopping guests to join until it fills once they are in the park.
We were fortunate enough to attend a Passholder Preview for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure earlier this week. It is very cute, my family enjoyed being a “rat”! The newly reimagined area in the back of the France pavilion is also gorgeous. I will cross my fingers for you to get a virtual queue spot on your next visit to Walt Disney World.
Happy Traveling,
Tracy
