Hi Erin!
I’m so glad you came back to visit us at planDisney!
Unfortunately, you cannot purchase
Lightning Lane Premier Pass for two parks on the same day. But with that being said, you can purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass,
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and up to two Lightning Lane Single Passes on the same park day (pending availability). So, you can still pack in quite a few Lightning Lanes!
In that case, I’d probably choose to purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass for one park and Lightning Lane Multi Pass for the other park, or purchase both for the very first park of the day.
If you choose to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass for the first park, you’ll be able to use it at both parks since you have a
park hopper ticket. As soon as you scan into your first Lightning Lane of the day using Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you’ll be able to book any available attraction in any park. At that time, you can also modify any existing Lightning Lanes to any available attraction in any park.
As far as Lightning Lane Single Pass goes, you can book up to two single passes per day. And those don’t need to be at the same park as long as you have a valid park hopper linked to your account. The attractions that offer Lightning Lane Single Passes in Magic Kingdom are Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and TRON. At Epcot, Guardians of the Galaxy is the only Lightning Lane Single Pass option.
To book these Lightning Lane services, you’ll want to hop on the
My Disney Experience app as soon as your booking window opens. If you’re staying at a Disney World resort or select good neighbor hotel, that will be at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your check-in date. If you’re staying off property, your booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 3 days prior to the start date of your ticket if it’s a date-based ticket.
Of course, if you really want to make the most of your park day and you don’t want to worry about the different types of Lightning Lanes services, you may want to consider booking a
VIP tour. Based on a past question, it sounds like you might have gone this route before, so you might already know this information. But a VIP tour would include up to 10 guests in your party, and you’d be able to visit multiple parks and attractions throughout the day.
I hope that gives you some guidance on planning your park day! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. We're always happy to help!
