I have a park hopper ticket and tried to make reservations for the parks but the website says I can only make a reservation for one park does having a reservation to one park guarantee your entrance to the other parks as well for park hopper tickets?

    Howdy Sumayyah!

Welcome to planDisney. I love it when a fellow Texan stops by with a question for us.

You must be counting down the last few days before your trip begins! I am thrilled to hEAR that you’ll soon be discovering the magic of Walt Disney World Resort!

Sumayyah, the way the Park Hopper Option works is that you would need to make a Disney Park Pass reservation for the first theme park of the day that you plan on visiting and enter it. Then, beginning at 2 PM, you will be able to park hop to another theme park, and no Disney Park Pass reservation is needed for the second (or third, or fourth) park of the day. So, for instance, if you plan to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom tomorrow morning and want to visit EPCOT later in the day, you would only need to make a park pass reservation for Disney’s Animal Kingdom and enter it before heading to EPCOT at 2 PM.

According to the Park Hopper Option policy, “Please note that the ability to visit another park will be subject to the park’s capacity limitations. In the event that the Park Hopper option is unavailable at a theme park, Guests will be notified in real time via a push notification from the My Disney Experience app.” Although park hopping to a different park is subject to availability, in my experience, there has only been one time in the several trips I’ve taken when park hopping wasn’t allowed. It was on October 1st, during the beginning of Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th Celebration. My experience has been that if your dates are not during the busy holiday season or a special occasion, you should be fine to park hop.

If you have a multi-day theme park ticket and the system does not allow you to make your Disney Park Pass reservations for other days, I would advise you to chat with a friendly Cast Member through your My Disney Experience Mobile app. To do this, please open up your app, tap on the three horizontal lines located on the bottom right corner, and then scroll down to select “Chat With a Cast Member.” You can add your question in the chat, and once a Cast Member can respond, you will receive a notification on your phone.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the magic, Sumayyah. Have an enchanting visit!
