Hi Roger!
Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney!
I’m happy to report that…yes! You will be able to purchase
Lightning Lane Premier Pass for Magic Kingdom (pending availability) even if it’s not the first park you’ll be visiting that day.
Just make sure you have a valid
park hopper linked to your My Disney Experience account. And if you have a ticket type that requires a
park reservation, you'll still want to make your park reservation for the first park of the day (in this case, Animal Kingdom!).
You can purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass beginning at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your check-in date if you’re staying at a
Disney World resort or select good neighbor hotel. If you’ll be staying off property, that booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 3 days prior to the start date of your ticket for date-based tickets.
When purchasing your Lightning Lane Premier Pass, you won’t need to worry about making any Lightning Lane pre-selections, as you won’t need to book any return times for Lightning Lanes throughout your park day. Just go to the entrance of any available Lightning Lane and scan right in! Easy as that!
You’ll be able to enjoy each available Lightning Lane attraction at
Magic Kingdom once during your time at the park. Of course, you can always jump back into the standby queue if you’d like to ride again, though!
Remember, if you’re planning to visit the Magic Kingdom on a day when it’s hosting
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the park will close to regular park guests at 6 PM. Keep that in mind as you’re deciding which day to visit Magic Kingdom.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. We’re always happy to help! I hope you have the best trip!
