With my park hopper pass, do I need to be inside the park of the ride I wish to get on to join its virtual queue? Is the same true for the 1:00 PM enrollment time? I have a lunch reservation at Via Napoli but want to enjoy a ride in Magic Kingdom in PM.

Hiya, Melissa, and thanks for stopping by planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort visit is just around the riverbend, so I hope your Mickey suitcase is packed and waiting by the door! My husband and I recently discovered the joys of park hopping, so let's talk about making the most of this option during your upcoming Disney adventure.

You can join a virtual queue at 7:00 AM from anywhere, so you do not need to be at the theme park for this queue. One morning, I joined from my house before I drove a few hours to the theme park! Remember that you'll have a one-hour window to return when your boarding group is called, so allow enough time to travel.

To join an afternoon queue, you must scan in at the theme park where that attraction is located sometime before 1:00 PM. I've had better luck joining this queue since not as many guests are trying, so I'm sending pixie dust your way!

You'll also need theme park reservations if your tickets aren't date-based. You can read more about which tickets require reservations and make them online or in your mobile app.

I love using the complimentary Resort Transportation options but recommend paying for a rideshare if you're running short on time. Disney transportation is magical, but sometimes, the timing can be unpredictable. You could even opt for a festive Minnie Van to get swept from park to park in style!

Melissa, I'm so glad you found us here at planDisney. Have a fabulous vacation!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
