Put on your Easter bonnet, Valerie, and welcome to planDisney! We're so "hoppy" you're here. You'll be arriving for your
Walt Disney World Resort visit soon, so let's talk about how you can enjoy the springtime Easter displays.
Parking at
Disney Resort Hotels is typically limited to guests registered at that hotel or with valid dining reservations. I recently asked to park at Disney's Contemporary Resort so I could shop at Bayview Gifts, and the parking attendant allowed it since the lot wasn't full. But I've also been turned away during busier times. So it never hurts to ask, but odds are you won't be able to park at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa without a reservation.
Since you have a little time before your visit, my tip is to book breakfast or lunch at
Grand Floridian Cafe. That will allow you to park at the resort, have a delicious meal, and peruse the gorgeous eggs displayed in the lobby. I think that sounds like the perfect way to spend a couple of springtime hours!
Another option is to park at the Ticket & Transportation Center and take the monorail to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Or, if you're spending time at
Magic Kingdom Park, you can take the walking path to the resort. It takes about 15 minutes and is a pleasant stroll along the water's edge.
This year's egg display looks fabulous. The Alice in Wonderland clock egg is my favorite! And I hope you stop by the
Grand Cottage for some festive treats like the Easter Marshmallow Pop. Nothing says spring like sugar-coated bunnies!
Valerie, I'm sprinkling pixie dust and jellybeans your way so your upcoming visit is practically perfect. Please
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
