Is the park crowded during the month of August?

The crowd levels in August differ greatly from the beginning of the month to the end of the month. The rule of thumb is that when school is out of session, Disney crowds are high, and when school is in session, Disney crowds are lower. At the beginning of August, you will see some of the high-level summer crowds because most of the country is still on break. But toward the middle of the month, the crowds drop considerably. In many parts of the country, including much of Florida, kids go back to school in mid-August. So if you're looking to avoid crowds in August, wait till the end of the month to visit.
