Howdy partner! Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Jorge!
Your visit will be here faster than the Pizza Planet Truck can deliver a piping-hot order of pepperoni and cheese pizzas! I can only imagine the excitement as your visit draws near. We are a large family that travels, ahem, not so light, and we also use a cargo box (Yakima brand) on our SUV. I'm happy to share my experiences and more information on parking at the
Disneyland Resort. We've not had any issues with having a cargo box on top while on the property, however, be sure to check the requirements for your hotel if it is not a
Disneyland Resort Hotel as they will vary on what is permitted.
Parking at the Disneyland Resort's Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals Parking Structures is straightforward to navigate when you have a standard vehicle, up to 13' 10" tall. However, there are special circumstances, where it is best to park at the Toy Story Parking Lot because our vehicles are either oversized or the height of the vehicle, in addition to the cargo box on top exceeds the limit on the parking structures.
Once you've parked getting to the parks is easy peasy. If you're at Mickey & Friends or Pixar Pals, you can either walk or hop on the Tram Shuttle that will bring you to the
Downtown Disney District side and you walk right into the Esplanade. If you take an adventure to the Toy Story Parking Lot, some buses will shuttle guests to the Front Entrance Esplanade off S. Harbor. While you're in town, make sure to check out all the festive decor,
specialty treats, and entertainment for
Pixar Fest and if you're celebrating Mother's Day (or any occasion), be sure to pick up a slice of Pixar Fest cake at
Plaza Inn in Disneyland Park!
Hope all this helps you ensure a seamless parking experience, Jorge. Have a magical visit! If you have other questions in the future, feel free to
send me a message!
To infinity and beyond,
Camille
