Hi Janine, and welcome to planDisney. Can you believe that you’ll be driving under the famous Disney World welcome arch in just a few weeks?! Now let’s make sure you have everything you need to maximize your
complimentary water park day.
You can drive directly to
Typhoon Lagoon anytime during the park's operating hours on check-in day, but RV parking is limited. If the RV spaces are full, you'll usually be redirected to park at
Disney Springs and take the bus. In that case, you may want to check in at
Fort Wilderness instead and take a
bus from there to Typhoon Lagoon. If your campsite isn’t ready yet, you can park your RV in the overflow parking lot. You'll get a text message or email when your campsite is ready. If you’d prefer to go straight to Typhoon Lagoon, I’d recommend getting there right at opening for the best chance at one of those RV spots.
As you’re finalizing your plans, be sure to check the
My Disney Experience app for the current water park hours since they can vary each day.
Typhoon Lagoon is the practically perfect way to start your Disney World adventure! You can cool off in
North America’s largest wave pool or go on a thrilling ride on the
Crush ‘n’ Gusher water coaster. And when you’re ready to relax, I love to head to the
Castaway Creek lazy river or grab a treat from
Snack Shack to enjoy on one of the lounge chairs (this is 100% more my speed!). I have my eye on the new watermelon-flavored DOLE Whip with Chamoy and Chili-Lime Spice, which looks super refreshing!
I’m wishing you a splash-tastic visit to Typhoon Lagoon next month! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome at planDisney.
