    Hello parents, I will be traveling to WDW this August with my family, 3 adults and 4 children. Any suggestions on how to schedule our day to keep everyone cool, and we will be there for my daughter's 5th bday, what can I do for her special day?

    Welcome to the Moms Panel, Jesseca! How exciting you will be visiting Walt Disney World this August! I would definitely recommend arriving to the parks first thing in the morning to take advantage of the cooler temperatures. You may also plan to go back to your resort for a midday break or swim to avoid the heat during the warmest time of the day. I like to book an Advanced DIning Reservation for lunch or an early dinner in order to enjoy a sit down meal in the air conditioning. You may also consider experiencing outdoor attractions in the early mornings and evenings and plan your itinerary so that you can watch shows or experience indoor attractions midday. Be sure to wear cool clothing that breathes making sure to avoid dark colors. I also prefer sandals or flip flops at this time of year with sunglasses or a visor to protect my eyes from the sun. Be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen from home and also make sure to stay hydrated during the day. I have also bought the misting fans at my local Walmart before leaving home or at the parks, which are great for keeping cool during the summer months. 
    Be sure to pick your daughter up a birthday celebration button at Guest Relations when entering the park. She will love all the birthday wishes she will receive by cast members and other guests on her special day. I would recommend booking a magical makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique followed by a meal at Cinderella's Royal Table located in Magic Kingdom Park or Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot.
