My parents are taking my husband, I, my 6 year old and my 3 year old to Disney this Fall. We need to pay for own food and souveniers. Any idea how much money I should bring?

That's a tough question not knowing your tastes, dining plans, financial situation, etc. My family tends to splurge on vacation: eating at many character meals, fine dining establishments, buying lots of souvenirs, etc. But there are many others who vacation much more economically: eating boxed cereal in the room for breakfast, eating at mostly counter-service restaurants in the parks, and doing minimal shopping. You should start your budgeting by going to allearsnet.com and searching under menus. While prices do change, this site will give you a good general idea of how much food at different types of WDW restaurants costs. Also, a good tip for souvenir shopping is to set a budget for your kids (and yourself) BEFORE you go. There is an almost infinite amount of very visually appealing merchandise for sale at WDW. Tell your kids in advance that they can spend $10.00 a day or $40.00 for the trip (or whatever your budget allows).  There are souvenirs available at all price points: from $2.00 pens to $2,000 watches. Just decide what you want to spend and stick to your plan.
