My parents are planning to come from Brazil to visit me and My mom can’t stand for long periods because she has a very serious Plantar Fasciitis and my dad has back problems. Both are 60+. How can I get a disability pass for them?

    Welcome to planDisney, Marcella!

I'm so glad you found us with your question while you plan your springtime visit to The Happiest Place On Earth! It's so sweet of you to be so concerned with making sure your parents are comfortable while you create magical memories together. After all, Walt Disney himself came up with the idea for theme parks as a place where both adults and children could have a great time together. So, you sure are keeping the spirit of the resort alive by planning a multi-generational visit that you will all enjoy!

Marcella, it sounds like you've already heard of the Disability Access Service (DAS)! This service is specifically designed for guests who need help waiting in regular queues and may require special consideration for access to the attractions. With the DAS, you can skip the long lines and return when the wait is shorter. There's no need for a doctor's note – just hop onto a live video chat to pre-register between 2 and 30 days before your visit.

If you prefer to call Disability Services directly, their phone number is (407) 560-2547, or you can email them at disability.services@disneyland.com. They're like Disney's real-life fairy godmothers, always ready to help.

And Marcella, you can also request DAS in person at any Guest Service Desk at the Resort. Pro tip: I find that Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure Park tends to have the shortest wait times!

I also want to make sure that you know that renting a wheelchair or ECV (Electric Convenience Vehicle) scooter is a great option for many guests. You can easily rent one right outside the theme park entrance. The rental location is just east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. Just a heads up, Marcella: they can't be reserved in advance, so arriving early is best. I suggest arriving about 30 minutes before the parks open

Marcella, now that you have these tips, you're all set to have a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth! I'm just as excited as you are for your upcoming visit. If you need any assistance or have any questions, feel free to message me directly for a quicker response. I'm here to share my best tips and tricks to make your Jolly Holiday as amazing as possible!
