My parents will be moving to Florida in the next month. We have a Disney trip scheduled for January 2014. Since they will be Florida residents can we take advantage of the residents discount even if they will only be joining us for a day or our trip?

Hi, Tabitha!  The discounted tickets offered to Florida residents can only be used by Florida residents.  The ticket holder must be prepared to show proof of Florida residency when the tickets are used.  They may not ask to see it, but they have the right to check when you are there.

They do not check residency for children, who usually wouldn't have anything that proves where they live.

I hope you get to enjoy a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World with your parents!
