Hi Deborah, and welcome to planDisney! I’m excited to hear that next week you’ll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. and taking pictures in front of Cinderella Castle. So let’s make sure your family is all set with the
My Disney Experience app so you can have the best day ever!
Both parents can absolutely manage the same child through the My Disney Experience app, which lets you pull up their theme park ticket and make
Lightning Lane selections on their behalf. First, both parents need their own My Disney account and to be connected on each other’s Family & Friends List.
To see if this is the case, go to
Your Family & Friends List on the Disney World website. If you see the other parent under Connections, you’re halfway there! If they’re not on that page at all, click the Add a Guest button toward the top right. Here you can search by their name and phone number or email address.
If the other parent is showing up under Guests You Manage, you’ll need to invite them to take control of their account. Click Manage next to their name to invite them to sign in and plan on their own. When you press the Invite button, you’ll input their email address to send the invitation. Guests need to be 13 years of age or older to create a My Disney account, so you won’t see this option on your kiddo’s profile if they’re underage.
Once you’re connected, the person who currently manages the child’s profile needs to allow the other parent to plan for their managed guests. Go back to the Family & Friends List, find the other parent, and click the Edit Settings button next to their name. Under settings, click the Connect My Managed Guests button, check the box next to the child’s name, and then click Send Invite. The other parent will receive an email inviting them to connect with the child’s profile. Once that’s confirmed, both parents can make plans for the whole family!
If you’re having any issues, give the
Technical and Website Support phone number a call and a Cast Member would be happy to help.
While you’re here this month, don’t miss the
International Flower & Garden Festival over in EPCOT. I like to say it’s the most beautiful time to visit because the park is covered in colorful flowers and plants! I love to grab food from the
Outdoor Kitchens and leisurely look for all of the
Disney character topiaries around the park. But when I’m with my toddler nephew, we like to check out
Butterfly Landing, run around the
Camp Get Out ’N’ Play Garden, and do
Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration scavenger hunt.
Safe travels and I’m wishing you a pixie-dusted vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
