My parents are DVC members and staying using points in October. My question: since I’m not a member but on the reservation can I go to Top of the World Lounge or no because I am not a DVC member? Second, how many guests can be brought up in one party?

Hi there, Travis. Thanks for visiting us!

Being a Disney Vacation Club member is filled with all sorts of wonderful member benefits and offerings, but something members can take advantage of on just about every vacation is a visit to the Top of the World Lounge.

Located at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, the lounge is open to DVC members and guests listed on their reservation. As long as you are on the reservation, even if you are not a DVC member, you can still gain access to the lounge. Guests must be accompanied by the DVC member listed on the reservation, and the member will be required to present their member ID card to the Cast Member. Once that's done, you'll be escorted to the lounge.

There is no hard limit on the number of guests that a member may bring to the lounge, however, you are limited to guests listed on your reservation. For a DVC member in a 3-bedroom grand villa, for example, they could have as many as 11 people on their reservation, all of whom would be permitted to accompany them to the lounge.

This is the perfect spot for an after dinner cocktail, or to view the Happily Ever After Fireworks Display from the Magic Kingdom. There's a great menu for snacking, with a 7-layer chocolate cake for dessert that is fantastic - at least according to the chocolate lovers in my family.

I hope you get to enjoy an absolutely magical visit with your parents.
