My parents want to buy ResidentDisney passes for their grandchildren. They are not well enough to visit the park with us. Do we still have to show FL proof of residency, if my husband & I buy regular passes-and the kids use the gifted FL passes?

Hi Melissa! Thanks for bringing your question to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

It’s so great that your family is planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! How thoughtful that your parents would like to purchase theme park tickets for their grandchildren!

Florida Resident Disney tickets may be purchased online but the only way they can be activated, even for children under the age of 18, is if the grandparents, your parents, are present and show Proof of Florida Residency at Guest Relations or any of the four theme park ticket windows. The good news is, once the tickets are activated, they would not need to be there any of the other days the tickets are valid.

Another way your parents can shower their grandchildren with some magical pixie dust is in the form of Disney Gift Cards. They can be used toward any Disney related purchase like park tickets, resort hotel stays and for souvenirs.

Our friend Mickey and his pals love to make our visits affordable with special offers available for all Walt Disney World guests throughout the year. Make sure to take a look at them as you continue planning your magical visit!

Melissa, I hope this information helps.  Please feel free to visit us again if you have any more questions!
