Can a parent accompany a new walker in the toddler areas of WDW water parks - specifically the Bay Slide at typhoon lagoon - or does everyone in the area need to be under the height limit?

Yes of course you can supervise your children in the little-kid areas of the water parks. The height maximum for those areas of the parks are to prevent older, possibly rougher, children from spoiling the fun for the small fries, but an adults are encouraged to watch their kids.. When my girls were hanging out in the Tikes Peak area of Blizzard Beach I would often run alongside them when they were going town the slides.

I hope you and your toddler have a great time splashing around at Typhoon Lagoon.
