Hello again, Kimberly!
There is no shortage of live entertainment at Walt Disney World Resort, but the parades are definitely near and dear to my heart. I still remember watching my children's faces light up as the characters waved to them for the first time, and it's something that still keeps me smiling to this day. Let's strike up the band and parade through all the logistics, shall we?
At this time, two parades are currently scheduled at Magic Kingdom Park.
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade glides down Main Street U.S.A. daily (weather permitting, of course), beginning in Frontierland near
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe and ending near
Harmony Barber Shop at the front of the park. There's nothing like watching the floats go by with a view of Cinderella Castle in the background, but you'll find fabulous viewing locations along the entire parade route. We sometimes like to watch from Liberty Square so we can keep having fun at the rear of the park as the parade continues toward the main entrance. This currently kicks off at 3 pm each day, but you can confirm specific showtimes during your visit on the
Hours & Events Calendar.Later in the evening, the lights go out, and the starlight begins to twinkle as
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade kicks off. I was able to watch a special preview performance of this parade just before it officially debuted last summer, and safe to say, my whole family was mesmerized. The floats were so detailed, the sparkling lights were so dazzling, and the soundtrack was just the cherry on top of a magical day. This parade travels in the opposite direction of Festival of Fantasy, beginning on Main Street and ending in Frontierland. Check the entertainment schedule for your visit, as this sometimes has two showtimes per night (currently at 7:45 pm and 10 pm on double performance evenings).
Kimberly, I'm wishing you a most magical visit in just a few short days. Please come back and see us again if you need any additional guidance before then.
Magic and memories,
Amy
