Hi, Laura, and welcome to planDisney! Just one more sleep and you'll be walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.! I cannot be happier for you!
Even though I've been visiting
Walt Disney World for almost 40 years, I always like to pick up some park maps during each of my trips. It's fun to look back on changes that have been made over the years. That being said, they can come in really handy for first time visitors to help navigate.
Yes, park maps are readily available practically everywhere. I've seen them at the front desk at
Disney's Pop Century Resort in the past, so definitely ask when you get there. If they happen to be out of them, there are park maps aplenty at the entrances to each of the Disney Theme Parks.
I also want to share another option with you that I find even more helpful for navigating. If you haven't already, download the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. At the bottom of the app, click the location symbol, which looks like an upside-down tear drop. From there, you can filter by park to see that park's map. Then, at the top of the map, you'll see an array of options you can choose from to find other features that may interest you. Some of my favorites are attraction wait times, dining, character locations and perhaps arguably the most important thing, rest room locations.
Laura, I hope you have a fantastic trip! If you have any other questions, please reach back out to us here at planDisney.
Have a magical trip!
Melanie
