Welcome to
planDisney, Ashton! Here you will find a group of Disney enthusiasts eager to provide answers to your vacation questions. Thank you for stopping by with your question about acceptable photo identification at
Walt Disney World Resort. I am happy to help provide you with that information.
Generally, Disney does not accept temporary paper identification, especially for activities like purchasing alcoholic beverages or verifying residency.
Alcoholic beverages can be purchased at Walt Disney World Resort by all Guests 21 years of age or older. Any Guest who wishes to purchase an alcoholic beverage at Walt Disney World Resort must present one of the following valid forms of identification:
• US state driver’s license (includes US territories*)
• US state ID (includes US territories*)
• US military ID
• Original passport
• Copy of passport (either on paper or captured on a mobile device), along with a government-issued photo ID** that can verify the person and birth date shown on the copy
• NEXUS card issued by US Customs and Border Patrol (Canadian Guests only)
All Guests visiting from outside the United States are required to present both a valid passport as well as another form of government-issued photo ID from their country of origin. Walt Disney World Resort reserves the right to refuse sale and/or service of alcoholic beverages to anyone.
The Walt Disney World Resort alcohol policy is subject to change without notice.
I hope your new identification arrives before you leave for your trip. Have a magical visit to Walt Disney World, Ashton! If we can answer more of your questions, please bring them here to planDisney.
