hello moms panel.we r coming in july for the 1st family vacation and have the delux dining plan,i was wonering what would be more of a treat we have a 5 and 6 yr old girls a signiture dinner or dinner show.we are booking a charactor meal as well...thank u

    Hi Angela,

The answer to this depends a bit on the personalities of your daughters. If they like to dress up and be fancy, then a signature meal might be best. If they like to be entertained, then try a dinner show.

As a first step, you should head over to the independent website allears.net which gives the complete menu of every restaurant at WDW. You should scope out whether there are foods at the signature venues which appeal to your kids. You can also see reviews of the restaurants and photos of the food at DisneyFoodBlog.com.

If you go the signature route, a good choice is the California Grill. If you time your reservation correctly, you can watch the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom from this lofty perch. Very sophisticated! I also love the atmosphere at Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge. I find it the perfect blend of elegant and relaxed.

By far my favorite dinner show is the Hoop Dee Doo Revue at Fort Wilderness. I started taking my girls there when my twins were four - and we've been back every year since. This truly is a show that appeals to all ages.

As for character meals, look for the character meal search tool at the Disney Food Blog. This will help you make the best decision for your family.

    Good luck!
