Hi Moms Panel- My parents, daughters (4 & 14,) and I have a reservation at Akershus at 4:55 on NYE. My plan is to reserve FPPs for EP, to use before dinner. Do you think a 1pm arrival in EP will be ok? I know it will be busy that day! Thank you!

    Hi Sarah,

I have been to the Walt Disney World Resorts once during New Year's Eve and it was magical! We were in Magic Kingdom and it was crowded. The park was actually closed because it reached capacity.

Guests have said that Epcot is the place to be on New Year's Eve especially around World Showcase. While Epcot has a limit as well, you should be fine entering the park at 1:00 pm. There should still be plenty of space for guests. Also note that an Advance Dining Reservation does not guarantee admittance to the park.

As a special treat, you can still see the Magic Kingdom New Year's Eve fireworks as they test them on December 30. Disney's Polynesian Resort's beach makes for great viewing. Ask your concierge for the time of the show.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
