Hi Mom's Panel, My family & I are taking our first DCL on the Fantasy & are totally crazy about Pin Trading, we hope to continue trading as we have in the past at WDW.Where & when can we trade? Are Cast Members wearing lanyards currently? Thx

Welcome aboard, Kristeen! If you love Disney, you're going to absolutely have a magical time on your very first cruise on the Disney Fantasy! And yes, you can pin trade!

My kiddos really look forward to pin trading on the ships. You'll find Cast Members wearing lanyards throughout the ship and in the gift shops. As you enter Cabanas for the buffet breakfast and lunch, you'll probably see Cast Members wearing lanyards just outside the doors as they hand out the hand wipes. My kids always ask me to carry their lanyards in my bag our on way to eat, even if they're not planning on wearing them. They don't ever want to miss a trading opportunity!

In addition to the Cast Members around the ship, the gift shops usually have a pin trading book behind the desk, so don't hesitate to ask. Most of the Cast Members in the shops are wearing trading pin lanyards too! Sometimes you'll see in your Personal Navigator (the ship's listing of events and activities) that there will be set trading times, so keep an eye out for that, but you're always welcome to trade when you see a Cast Member wearing a lanyard! Finally, most cruises offer Officer Pin Trading Night where the ship's officers line up in the atrium to trade with the guests. One cruise, my daughter was even chosen as Official Pin Trader and they invited her to stand up with the officers to trade, giving her a lanyard full of pins to trade with guests as an honorary officer for the night. What fun!

Have fun planning your cruise, Kristeen, and let me know if I can help with anything else before you set sail!
