Ahoy, Gabriel!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You are just days away from a magical voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line. How exciting!
Although I should disconnect when I sail aboard Disney Cruise Line, I always break down and purchase an
internet package while aboard. The program is called Connect@Sea and you pay by the megabytes used instead of the time you stay connected. One package can be shared per family since multiple devices can log on at the same time. On my last few sailings, Disney Cruise Line has offered 50 MB for free. You'll just need to login to dclguest.com to activate your 50 Free MB of data between noon and midnight on the first day. This is always subject to change so be sure to check your first cruise newsletter, the
Personal Navigator for all the details. Once you've consumed those first 50 MB, you can pay as you go or look into one of the packages that range from 100 MB (around $19.00) to 1000 MB (around $89.00). You will be charged the entire amount even if you don't use all megabytes, and any package you purchase will be billed to your stateroom account. Each time you connect you'll see a Megabyte Meter appear, which will help you keep track of your usage. Don't forget to log out each time!
If you have any questions about using the internet at sea, I suggest stopping by Guest Services or to see the Connect@Sea Expert. I had to do this on our last cruise because I needed help turning off and disabling some of my automatic updates and downloads to help maximize my plan. My megabytes were being consumed way quicker than I had expected so this saved me from wasting them every time I logged in.
Have a magical time on your sailing, Gabriel!
