Hello Panel, This is my 11 year old sons first trip to WDW. Me or my husband haven't been for 30 years. So what would be the best advice and tips you can give me for his first visit.....

Hey Donna and fellow GA mom!  How exciting to be planning your son's first trip to WDW! And I promise you a lot has changed since your husband and you both were last at the most magical place on earth!
I wish I could plan your trip for you, but unfortunately I don't have enough space.  However, here are a few of my recommendations.  First select your resort.  Check out the disney website and look at all each has to offer, Select the one that makes the most sense for your family and then let the fun begin.
I highly recommend park hopper passes, especially with an 11 year old.  When he tires of one park by late afternoon, you can just hop on over to the next park!  They are the best.
I would also recommend you start your trip off at MK.  In my opinion, it's just what Disney is all about.  Your son is the perfect age for each and every park, so if possible, schedule enough days to at least cover the four theme parks.
And also be sure to let them know when he enters the park that this is his first time! The CM's will do a great job is making him feel so special on his first trip to WDW. Whew, that is only the tip of the iceberg, but I truly hope it helps you get started in planing your vacation.  Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel.
