Hello Panel! Wondering if it is possible to make a reservation for 9, at the Beaches and Cream Soda Shop, with its limited seating? I wasn't sure if they take reservations for parties that big. Thanks and have a great day!

Hello, Heather! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is one of my family’s favorite places to dine at Walt Disney World Resort. Since it does have limited seating, though, sometimes it can be difficult to book a dining reservation there. With a party of nine, you’ll need to call (407) WDW-DINE in order to try to book a meal for your group. Please be advised, though, that Beaches & Cream will close August 4, 2019 and will remain closed through the winter as they work to refurbish the restaurant and increase its capacity. Once it reopens, though, I’m hoping it’ll be much easier to secure those reservations for everything INCLUDING the “Kitchen Sink!”

Unfortunately, we don’t have an exact date for when the restaurant will re-open, but I’m not sure it will happen before your visit in December. If you don’t have the opportunity to experience it, though, I would recommend checking out the 50’s Prime Time Cafe or the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for that same mid-century vibe. And if you’re looking for the Kitchen Sink, you can order a smaller version at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor at Magic Kingdom Park. And as a bonus, you’ll take home an adorable Mickey or Minnie souvenir bowl, too!

Best of luck with your reservation, Heather! Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help make your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation as magical as it can be.
