Hi Moms Panel! Me & 12y twinD are going on 1st Disney cruise on Disney Dream (DVC member cruise Sept '13), can u tell me what to expect? someone told me about decorating stateroom door. Wat shore excursions would u recommend? Got 2nd seating, is that o

Josie, welcome aboard! The Disney Vacation Club member cruises are very magical sailings, as you'll experience some very special events onboard that you wouldn't otherwise see on Disney Cruise Line. Be sure to pack an extra suitcase, as I hear you'll be receiving daily gifts! Expect to discover surprise speakers, special entertainment and unique decor throughout your sailing.

Your cruise will make two stops at Castaway Cay. I was fortunate enough to take a Double-Dip to Castaway Cay on the Dream, and I'll tell you, you'll be glad to have two days on the island. Castaway Cay is full of adventures to discover, but also has the perfect atmosphere to relax and do absolutely nothing!

Take a look at Castaway Cay's Port Adventures to see what is right for your family. To be honest, you could spend both days just taking in all the island has to offer without even doing a separate Port Adventure. But, I definitely recommend renting the snorkel equipment so your family can enjoy the views in the Snorkel Lagoon. Disney has hidden all kinds of surprises under the water out there, so see what all you can spot!

Onboard the ship, your girls will love the Tween Club, The Edge, so be sure to read about that before you set sail. Many Disney Cruise Line guests decorate their stateroom doors with magnets. Grab some printable magnetic sheets from an office supply store and let your girls design their own. Then cut them out and bring them along to decorate your door. You'll never mistakenly walk past your door in the hall that way!

Have fun planning your cruise, Josie! I'm happy to help if you have any more questions before you set sail!
