hi panel do you think the deluxe dinner plan is worth it for my 11 yr old who eats like a bird is there any way we can only pay for her to order from kids menu instead of adult

    Tina,

I am traveling with two children who are not exactly chowing down like dear-old-Dad, so I totally get your question!

I am a fan of the Disney Dining Plan, but the Deluxe may not be the best option for you. I would shift to the Standard plan and adjust your budget to have some of your meals paid for out-of-pocket, and others by the dining plan.

And no, you can't pay for her differently, as suggested here.

A benefit to switching from the Deluxe Dining Plan to the Standard is saved time. On the Deluxe you probably would have gone to 3 table service meals per day. With the standard you would probably switch to a combination of table service and counter service meals, right?

Well, that will mean that you spend less time at a restaurant, and more in a park having fun!

Many underestimate how a table service meal, especially at lunch, cuts into your day. That can be a good hour to hour and a half gone, where a counter service meal might have been only 30 minutes.

Feel free to send me any follow-up questions!

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
