    Hi Moms panel, what restaurants are recommended not to take an 18 month old baby to eat at. Do all WDWR have high chairs? Coming for two weeks in October and we also have a 9 year old.

    Hi Kim! One of the reasons I love Disney World is that even the nicest restaurants welcome children. The only two restaurants I'd steer away from with young children are the adults-only Victoria & Albert's and the new Monsieur Paul. All of the other table-service restaurants have children's menus with familiar foods and crayons for the little ones. My husband and I enjoy dining at fine restaurants, and I remember after my son was born, I wondered if we'd ever be able to eat out again. We soon became hooked on taking all of our vacations at Disney because we could stay at fancy hotels and eat at gourmet restaurants with our young children in tow.

    To successfully dine with little ones, be sure you keep them on their regular schedule; if they're used to eating early, make your reservations early. Bring small toys to keep them quietly entertained.The service at the signature restaurants can sometimes be quite leisurely, and since toddlers can't be expected to sit quietly in a high chair for very long, be sure to tell your server upfront that you'll need to eat as quickly as possible. (Even though my children are older, my husband and I are still in the habit of ordering our meals at the same time as we order our drinks, a tactic most parents of young children find helpful in speeding a meal along.)

    High chairs are in plentiful supply at Walt Disney World. When you make your dining reservations, be sure to include your toddler, and then when you check in at the restaurant, just tell the hostess that you'll need a high chair.
