Hi Panel! I was reading online about The Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I wanted to find out what the difference is between a Quick Service meal at most hotels versus a Fast Casual which is what The Mara is listed as. Thanks for your help!

Hi Shawn! You say "tomato;" I say "to-mah-to".... Well, actually I don't, but what I'm trying to say is these are all names for the same thing. At Disney World, the fast-food style restaurants are known as Quick Service, Counter Service, and sometimes even Fast Casual. Whatever you call them, at these restaurants you'll place an order at a counter or select items from self-serve areas, and then pay for them at a cash register before finding a table and sitting down to enjoy your meal. The Mara at the Animal Kingdom Lodge offers grab-and-go items as well as pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and meat entrees from a grill. Food at the Mara is generally very tasty and you can sample a few African-inspired dishes. Be sure to save room for dessert -- you can usually find the infamous Zebra Domes in the grab-and-go section!

Hope this helps! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
