    Hi Moms Panel! Planning our 1st trip to WDW & trying to decide which moderate resort rates the best. Will be coming with 5yr and 15yr old & will rent a car for the week so not to worried about walking just looking for the best moderate resort.

    I have stayed at all of the resorts and each is nice in its own way. I think that the answer really comes down to the different themeing, and what appeals most to your family, which is really a matter of personal preference. That said, here are a few of my thoughts on each. For reference, I have three daughters, ages 10, 8, and 6.

    -Caribbean Beach - our favorite moderate pool, complete with two waterslides, a zero entry area, and a mini splash park area for kids. Pirate themed rooms are a huge hit with my kids.

    -Coronado Springs - the most upscale feel of the moderates, very nice pool, slightly different feel because of the attached convention center. Don't care for the gratuities added at quick service dining here.

    -Port Orleans French Quarter - the smallest and most intimate feeling of the moderates, my kids say the dragon slide at the pool is 'creepy'. Feels like a resort for romance/couples more than young kids.

    -Port Orleans Riverside - more casual and laid back than French Quarter, great quick service food options, my kids enjoy exploring this property.

    For my dollar, I would likely choose Caribbean Beach, but again, that's really based on the theme I prefer, and not because it is significantly better or different than the others. As I said, I've visited them all and have never been unhappy at any. I truly believe you will be happy wherever you stay.
