Hi Panel, I plan on visiting Atlantic Dance Hall on Christmas Eve and wanted to know how the best way to get there as well as how late bus service runs. Would like to avoid paying for a cab. Staying at POP. Thanks!

Hi LaSharon! A night of dancing is definitely a memorable way to celebrate Christmas Eve! Like you, I try to avoid paying for taxis at Walt Disney World, and with Disney's great transportation system, doing so is easy if you don't mind spending a little time getting to your destination.

To reach the Atlantic Dance Hall from the Pop Century, you have a couple of options. You could take a bus from the Pop to Hollywood Studios, and then take the boat from there to the Boardwalk where the Dance Hall is located. The other option would be to take the bus to Downtown Disney and then hop on a bus headed to the Boardwalk or to the Swan, both of which are convenient to the Dance Hall. If you're planning on dancing late into the night, use the Downtown Disney bus route to return to the Pop Century. Those buses often run as late as 2 a.m., but the hours can vary depending on the shop hours. Since it's a holiday, I recommend you verify with the front desk how late the buses will be running to and from Downtown Disney that evening. If you stay out partying later than the buses are running that night, you can always use a taxi. The Pop Century is only five minutes or so from the Boardwalk so the fare will likely run under $10.

Have a magical Christmas Eve! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
