Hi Panel. We will be in MK for NY Eve & have res for 1900 @ 8:30am. Will MK reach capacity early so we should skip the breakfast? I appreciate your help!

Hi April! Walt Disney World is a wonderful place to ring in the New Year!

New Year's Eve is a popular day to visit the Disney parks, and it's likely that attendance levels in the Magic Kingdom will be high that day. You're right that the Magic Kingdom sometimes temporarily closes due to reaching capacity on New Year's Eve, so it's best to arrive early on this popular day. The park opens at 7 a.m. for Disney resort guests, and 8 a.m. for everyone else. Arriving at opening enables you to experience a lot of attractions before the lines get long, so I would be inclined to skip breakfast and book a nice sit-down lunch instead. My family visited during the popular Easter week, and this strategy worked really well for us. By arriving at 7 a.m. and heading to the most popular attractions first, we were able to hit all of the highlights of the Magic Kingdom by midday. If you're planning to stay in the Magic Kingdom for the evening fireworks, you might want to make a dinner reservation too, so you'll have a place to rest and you won't have a long wait for a table.

Wishing you a magical New Years vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
