Hello Moms Panel! We are looking to celebrate Mother’s Day this year (2019) in Walt Disney World. Are there any special events, dining, etc that we should know about and plan in advance? Thanks for your help!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rebecca! Moms always deserve to be spoiled on Mother's Day, and I can't think of a better place to spend that special day than Walt Disney World Resort. Magic Kingdom Park + a few Mickey Ice Cream Bars = Perfect Day (and a happy mom)!

I spoke with a Cast Member from Disney Dining today, and he gave me a few ideas. Many of the restaurants located at Disney Springs, such as Maria & Enzo's, STK Orlando, and Paddlefish, have Mother's Day Brunch with unique menus for the occasion. House of Blues Restaurant & Bar has a Mother's Day Gospel Brunch, which is always popular with Guests. Frontera Cocina offers moms a complimentary glass of wine, flowers, and an afternoon of Spanish guitar with the purchase of an entree- this sounds like a perfect way to get some R & R! After brunch, stop by The Ganachery, Amorette's Patisserie, or Sprinkles for some special treats perfectly themed for any Disney mom. There are usually some good shopping discounts for moms, too!

Several Walt Disney World Resort hotels also offer special brunch menus. The Wave… of American Flavors at Disney's Contemporary Resort is a personal favorite! Flying Fish, Ale & Compass Restaurant, Turf Club Bar and Grill, and Disney's Pop Century Resort's Everything POP Shopping and Dining will likely have meals exclusive to Mother's Day as well. There will also be a "Chocolate Experience" at Disney’s Beach Club Resort from 2:00- 6:00 PM that day. Moms can sip a chocolate cocktail, while Mouseketeers build their own sundaes- this sounds like a super sweet way to celebrate! For more information on any of the dining experiences mentioned, call (407) 939-3463.

However, for me, the ultimate day of pampering would include spending the afternoon at Senses Spa, located at both Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort. I'd suggest calling (407) 939-7727 to see if there are any special offers or events.

Rebecca, no matter how you decide to celebrate, you're sure to have a magical Mother’s Day!

I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at my monthly Bunco club for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
