    This mom's panel just keeps getting better! We booked for october. Wasn't thinking about offers maybe coming up at the time, but if they do and we qualify, how are we reimbursed? Credit card refund? Gift card?

    If there is any standard rule, it is that there is no rule! Each special offer is different. Some are ones that you will be able to apply to your existing reservations. Some others are only for people making new reservations, and can't be applied to existing ones. And when you can apply a new offer to an existing reservation, there are many ways for the difference to be offset.

    The only way to be sure is to check with whomever you are booking your vacations and ask about what has typically happened in the past. With an October vacation, you are probably hoping for a repeat of the Free Dining offer. With an early October vacation on the books for my family, I certainly am looking for that one myself.

    From personal experience in past similar matters, it has been a refund to the credit card, but don't assume that will be the answer for you. Each case is unique.
