Hi mom's panel! My husband is obsessive about budgeting and would like to have dinner in our room a night or 2 during our 7 night stay. We own a mini-grill that, in theory, would be a great option for us. Would we be able to use it at the resort?

    Hi Suzanne!

Disney is fairly cautious about the electrical appliances which it allows in their rooms. Hot plates and burners are not allowed in rooms, and I think the mini-grill would be very close to these. I have been told that the presence of these items could result in your removal from the room - but I haven't had first hand experience (I'm too scared to even attempt it!). I do know people often bring toasters or blenders without any trouble.

Another option that is open to you, is to use the Microwaves and Toasters in the food court area of your resort. You do not have to purchase food in the food court in order to use these. You can easily bring your own food to cook in these.

    Hope this helps!
