    This panel is great!! I need help! Recently upgraded to CR, in garden wing, for trip in april. DH,kids, 10,6,2. Will we be happy here? Are worried that the hotel is "too adult" for the kids. Want to be close to MK. Should we try to change? 1st tr

    Hi Emily,

    Great choice for a first trip! The Contemporary is a fantastic resort and it is in an ideal location. We upgraded our Contemporary stay last summer to the garden wing in a corner suite and it was amazing. There should be no worries here and this is a perfect location for families and by no means feels to adult for my three crazy boys to run around and have a great time.

    My kids absolutely love watching the monorail zip in and out of the resort and one of the best character dining experiences, Chef Mickey's, will be just a few seconds away. According to my three, this resort has the BEST arcade of any of the Disney resorts (and trust me, they have spent enough time in them to know). There is a great pool that overlooks the surrounding lake and in the evenings, you will be able to walk out of the garden wing and enjoy the electrical water parade, plus Wishes fireworks show at Magic Kindom is visible from many locations at the resort. The gift shop on property was just recently remodeled and it is still my favorite resort gift shop at WDW.

    We loved the ability to walk to Magic Kingdom along an attached sidewalk or the opportunity to grab the monorail to Magic Kingdom or Epcot. I think you will find the resort very warm and friendly, with lots of kids running around. A perfect spot for your family to enjoy the magic of Disney within eyesight of the gorgeous CInderella Castle.
