Hi Myriam!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad we are able to help answer your question for your upcoming stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground and Resort! I have to admit that I'm a bit jealous! I can't wait to travel back to Walt Disney World to experience the Magic!
Unfortunately, there isn't too much information available regarding July 4th Celebrations for 2020. The
latest operational updates show that the Magic Kingdom is opening July 11th and that most experiences, like
fireworks, are not yet ready to resume. At this time, details have not yet been communicated regarding how or when they will begin again. I know it is difficult to wait for this type of information, but I'm confident that Walt Disney World will share details as soon as they can. Be sure to keep an eye on the
travel information announcements as well as the
Disney Parks Blog.
One great thing about Disney's Fort Wilderness
Campground and
Resort is the decorations that many guests celebrate with at their individual campground sites. Even if there aren't too many "official" events for this year's holiday, it is quite possible that you'll be able to tour the campground in a socially-distant way and enjoy all of the individual decorations. To really get in the holiday spirit, you may also want to bring along some special red, white, and blue touches for your cabin or campground. This may be the perfect way to sprinkle some Independence Day pixie dust on your vacation while sharing the celebration with others!
I hope you have a great stay and enjoy your trip! It will be here before you know it!
