Hello Mom's Panel, we are finally planning to take a Disney Cruise!!! Since I'm a teacher, we can only go in July or August. I was wondering when is the best time to cruise. My main concern is hurricane season. Please help! Thanks. Love this panel!

Welcome aboard, Sonia! Congratulations on beginning to plan your first Disney Cruise Line vacation! Isn't it exciting to look at all of the events and activities that take place on the ships and even begin to choose some fun extras like Port Adventures? Your options are limitless, so have fun as you discover all the magic that is in store.

Don't worry too much about hurricane season because the ships will navigate out of the way of storms as best they can. But, if it really concerns you, book in July instead of August. Though hurricane season in the Caribbean runs from June through November, the peak months are August through October. Again, though, we've cruised during all times of the year, and though we have had a few rougher days at sea with big waves, the majority of the time it is literally smooth sailing!

The best way to begin planning is to take a look at the Find A Cruise page of Disney Cruise Line's website. There you can play around with the different itineraries, sail months, and ships to find one that is a perfect fit for your budget. Then, have fun planning all the extras!

As you plan, take a look at Disney Cruise Line's Official YouTube channel where you can view lots of videos with sneak peeks of what you'll get to experience, and tips to help you make the most of your vacation! Happy planning!
