Hello Mom's Panel! My family and I have been to WDW numerous times and every time my dad says he wants to spend an afternoon resort hopping and we never do. Do any resorts have events or activities we could enjoy in addition to looking around?

    Hi Beth,

This is one hidden gem of the Walt Disney World Resorts. The resorts each have their own brand of magic which is unique to that particular resort. We often eat at the resorts so that we can take a break from the parks.

One of my favorite times of the year to park hop is during the holidays. Each resort is decorated in a theme to match its resort. The Grand Floridian has a giant gingerbread house and there are train displays and carousels in other resorts as well.

As for activities and events, daily there are activities at the pool for guests to enjoy. Some resorts such as the Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness or Caribbean Beach have activities such as bike riding, archery and other recreational activities.

You can also check in at the lobby of the resort when you arrive to see what activities are planned for the day.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
