Hi Moms Panel! My family is considering doing WDW or The Cruise Line or maybe combining both for our next vacation. As of right now, our timeline is falling at Christmas time. What are the parks and cruises like during the week of Christmas?

Welcome aboard, Megan! Your question makes me want to sing, "It's the most wonderful time of the year!" And it really is at the Walt Disney World Resort and on Disney Cruise Line!

There are so many exciting Christmastime activities and events going on throughout all of the parks at the Walt Disney World Resort at that time of year. The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios is not to be missed! I have never seen so many lights in my life! There is something so magical about walking down the Streets of America as lights dance all around you and holiday music is in the air!

Over at Magic Kingdom I love attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, complete with hot chocolate and cookie stations around the park, our favorite parade, Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade (my kids can't get enough of the reindeer and the marching soldiers!), and the magical snowfall on Main Street! What a treat!

But our favorite Christmas event is over at Epcot, where we enjoy celebrating the real meaning of Christmas with the Candlelight Processional. A celebrity narrator retells the story of Jesus' birth as the choir chimes in with beautiful Christmas carols.

Disney Cruise Line throws a fabulous celebration onboard their ships at Christmastime as well. We enjoyed our very first Very Merrytime Cruise last year and can't wait to book another at Christmastime. From King Triton's Tree Lighting Ceremony to the Deck the Deck party, amazing Christmas decor throughout the ship, holiday activities for kids and adults alike, and snow, yes snow, on Castaway Cay, it's such a magical experience enjoying holidays on the high seas! I hope you're able to enjoy both a cruise with Disney and a stay at the resorts this coming winter, Megan! Happy planning!
