Hello Panel, We are coming to disney in late August and would like to see IllumiNations.Would it be a good idea to have ADR for the Rose & Crown? I am not sure if you can see the show from all the tables. What time would you suggest for the ADR?

    Amy,

Rose and Crown, if you get one of the great outdoor tables near the waterfront, is a perfect place to watch IllumiNations. But you can't guarantee you will get one of those tables, even if you have an Advanced Dining Reservation. They will not commit these tables, so it is kind of a roll of the dice. While there are a few counter service dining options where you can grab a table view (like the Cantina at the Mexico pavilion), I think you are better served separating your plans for dinner and for viewing the show to avoid disappointment.

My favorite view of IllumiNations is from the edge of the waterfront nearest Futureworld. That is the viewpoint from which the show was designed to be watched, and you get the best view of all the effects.

So my recommendation is to get a Rose and Crown reservation for 1 to 1 1/2 hours before the time that IllumiNations is scheduled. If you get a great viewing spot, then enjoy both dinner and the show. If it is not a great view, then enjoy dinner and move to your vantage point of choice for the show!

    Have a magical vacation!
