Hi Panel! I want to see the Christmas decorations but avoid the crowds. Would it be better to come the weekend before Thanksgiving or a few days after? What would we miss by coming before Thanksgiving? Thanks!

Hi Susan! Christmas is truly the most magical time at Disney World, and the decorations are simply gorgeous. We have no specific date when they start decorating the resorts and theme parks, but typically they start putting them up early November. The week before Thanksgiving, which this year is November 25, is usually quiet crowd-wise. Thanksgiving week is extremely busy, so if you prefer a quieter experience, I definitely recommend going before.

Hope this helps! Write us back if you hve any other questions as you plan your magical vacation!
