Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Katie!
Katie, I have some experience with last-minute restaurant reservation cancelations. While I have never been at
Walt Disney World Resort when a park has reached capacity, on our most recent trip, we were not able to make one dining reservation simply because our little ones were a little too grouchy to sit through a big dinner. Katie, when I called to cancel our reservation, the Cast Member could not have been nicer, and let us cancel with no charge to our credit card. If you are unable to make your reservation because the park has reached capacity, I would advise you to call the
reservation line and explain the situation to them. I could not imagine that they would charge you a no-show fee.
Additionally, Walt Disney World Resort reaching capacity is relatively rare, but when it does happen, it happens in 4 phases. In phases 1 to 3 of park closure, guests with in-park reservations are still allowed to enter the park. So, Katie, I would not worry about not being able o enter for your reservation. If you are going to be visiting during a peak day, such as on Christmas Day, you may want to get to the park early, just to be sure.
I hope that this helped, Katie. Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help as you plan your magical holiday.
We hope to see you real soon!
