Welcome aboard, Sharon! Since you'll be onboard the
re-imagined Disney Wonder for two weeks sailing through the Panama Canal, you will get to enjoy more activities and events than ever! As always, you'll rotate through all three of the Wonder's table service restaurants. I just returned home from sailing on the Wonder and can guarantee you will love the atmosphere, character interactions, and menu at the new Tiana's Place. You'll even get a different menu theme each night. Last year's Panama Canal sailings saw the following menu themes: Let the Magic Begin, Prince and Princess, Frozen, Toy Story, Panama Canal theme, World of Flavor, Pirates, Seasons, Captain's Gala theme, and the Til' We Meet Again dinner. These are in addition to the standard menus in the restaurants on your rotation. I highly recommend you book a dinner and brunch or both at Palo, which was also was redone on the Wonder, and offers an even more amazing atmosphere and newer menu! You'll also enjoy the new quick service spots by the pools since the upper decks were just remodeled too!
Last year, the Buena Vista Theatre offered showings of 20 different films throughout the Panama Canal sailing, so you can expect to see the latest Disney releases plus some extras there next year too! Live entertainment is all new onboard too! The new Frozen: A Musical Spectacular Show is nothing short of amazing! My family and I were so looking forward to it, and it did not disappoint! Plus, you'll enjoy cabaret and variety shows, and The Golden Mickeys, which was also redone and truly a beautiful sight!
You can begin adding extras like Spa Treatments in the all new Senses Spa when your online check-in begins. All of these activities like movies and spa treatments, youth clubs, and dining areas are open while you're in port. Shops are closed while in port, but are open in the evenings once you set sail and on sea days. Happy planning, Sharon!
