Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, you're as welcome as can be, Amy!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney. You just discovered a magical secret - dance, cheer, and sports competitions make up almost half the year at the 'World, so it's rare that Daisy & Co are not hosting
athletes in the parks. That means no matter what time of year you visit, you have a good chance of tumbling into a cheerleader!
That being said, you can do a few things to navigate crowds during your visit. Consider adding
Lightning Lane Passes to your tickets if you haven't already purchased them.
Lighting Lane is how you preplan popular attractions and zoom past the regular queue during your scheduled return time. Since we are Annual Passholders, we visit often, and my family's patience runs thin when we're visiting with EVERYONE ELSE, so this is our favorite way to bypass lines!
You can also take advantage of
Early Entry and
Extended Evening hours if you are a Disney Resort Hotel guest or are staying at other select hotels!
Each day, you can enter the parks 30 minutes earlier than everyone else, which jumpstarts your access. (Insider tip - pick one or two popular attractions you want to hit early, go to the furthest one first, and work your way back towards the front of the park. You will be amazed at how short the line is!). In the evening, if you are a guest at a Deluxe Villa Resort, a Deluxe Resort, Shades of Green, or the Swan & Dolphin, you get to kick everyone else out of the parks and party after dark. Bonus if you are in
EPCOT - you can join an evening virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!
Finally, use "crowd patterns" to your advantage! Go early, take a break during peak mid-day, and head back into the parks around dinner. Eat breakfast late and dinner early, and while everyone is feasting, enjoy the shorter lines at the attractions. Most importantly, Amy, have fun (even with a bunch of new bestie teenagers)! Disney is
magic every day.
Cheers,
Rayna
